A Pinap Berry a common type of Berries available in Pokémon GO. This berry can be fed to wild Pokémon to double the amount of Candy rewarded upon successful capture. It can be commonly obtained by visiting PokéStops or by completing Research Tasks.
Usage[]
Pinap Berrys have a few uses in the game. Their main usage is being fed to catch-able Pokémon to award the player with double the normal Candy awarded upon successful capture. If the catch attempt fails, the Pokémon will only reward the normal amount of Candy after being caught. This, of course, can be prevented by feeding it another Pinap Berry. Alternatively, these berries can be fed to Pokémon defending a Gym to restore motivation. A maximum of 10 berries can be fed to a single defending Pokémon in a 30-minute period. Pinap Berry can also be fed to the player's buddy Pokémon, restoring 2 points of energy.
