Tyranitar is a rockRock Type and groundGround Type Pokémon originally from the Johto region (Generation II). Tyranitar can be obtained by evolving Pupitar and by finding it very rarely in the wild.

Evolution

To evolve, Larvitar requires 25Rare Candy to evolve into Pupitar. Pupitar evolves further, which requires 100Rare Candy to evolve into Tyranitar.
